a tale of two highschool best friends
It all started in 2011, collaboration between Saski & Meida. Despite the distance between the Netherlands & Indonesia, Ruma Manis, an Indonesian based brand was born, an everyday tableware products that give you that sweet charming little things in life.
In 2023 Ruma was established by Meida Damayanti in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Ruma focuses as tableware for special occasions, with craftsmanship, details that brings you understated elegance and effortlessly beautiful.

Indonesian Heritage in Europe
Born and raised in Java, Indonesia, Meida grew up with strong influence of the heritage culture and traditions.
She then spent half of her adult life in Amsterdam, working as fashion merchandising professional for an American iconic brand with global business landscape.
These two parts of her life is what brings Ruma comes to life. The sense of Indonesian touch of heritage in the products curated beautifully with European sense of styling and living.
